He became one of the major and most influential political and spiritual leaders of his time. In efforts to stop a Hindu-Muslim conflict, he was assassinated by a Hindu fanatic. Gandhi’s commitment to non-violence and belief in simple living has made him a beacon of hope for oppressed and marginalized people throughout the world.
This is an original, wall-hanging sculpture incorporating aluminum as the background, and the face done in steel, offset by 1/2 inch spacers. Year completed: 2013.
